Taking Your Business to the Next Level: 6 Tactics to Up Your Marketing Efforts

Is your business in need of a boost? If you’ve been stuck in the same position, you need to start making different decisions in your marketing. You have to look at the areas of your business that you’ve been avoiding and come up with creative ways to market your business. Here are 5 different ways you can step up your game.

Expand to a New Marketing Channel

If you’ve been depending on the same marketing channels to bring in leads and customers, it’s time to start looking elsewhere. Rather than reinvesting your profits back into the same channels, experiment with new channels that you normally wouldn’t use. It’s very likely that you’ll lose your investment but all you’re testing for is potential. If you do see some sales, it’s a matter of tweaking various aspects of your campaign to see if you can reach profitability.

Focus on Strategic Relationships

Many business owners overlook the value of strategic relationships. Finding a business you can partner with can open up many opportunities. You can set up cross promotions, referral systems or percentage/per sale deals to grow your business. There’s no limit to what kind of deal you can set up as long as it’s a win-win situation.

Create a Sales Funnel

Many business owners don’t follow up enough with their customers for upsells and repeat sales. Rather than making it an afterthought, it’s a better idea to set up a sales funnel system that sends out scheduled promotions. For example, a customer is given an upsell offer after the first initial sale and a new promotion 2-4 weeks after that. From there, there could be a follow up promotion every two weeks for other products and services.

Use Multiple Channels Together

Rather than use social media, your blog or direct mail as a standalone strategy, it’s a better idea to use multiple channels together. For example, build a Facebook page and get people to follow you in your direct mail campaigns. Figure out a way to grab the mailing addresses of your Facebook followers so that you can mail them a physical promotion.

Track and Test Your Marketing Obsessively

Small improvements in each step of the marketing process can lead to an exponential increase in response. By tracking every aspect of your marketing campaigns and testing new elements to make improvements, you’re bound to hit a big winner sooner or later. You’ll also learn what works and what doesn’t work in your campaigns.

Get Your Name Out There

Trade shows are a great way to get the name of a new brand or business out to its target market. The professionals from Nomadic Display in Montreal recommend for new businesses to get involved in local trade shows first, this will give them an opportunity to gain a following and local vendors or clients. Then graduate up to larger shows, when your business is running smoothly and you have the operations down.

Any one of these five tactics can take your business to the next level. Rather than dipping your toes into each tactic, try experimenting with one tactic one at a time until you start seeing measurable results in your marketing.
