Think You’re Cut Out for Online Business? Take This Quiz!

Working online isn’t for everyone – it requires a certain amount of dedication, resilience, and time to get it done.

Not sure if you should try your hand at it?

Ask yourself these 5 questions

Do you have a quiet place to work at home?

This is a hugely underrated aspect of working at home, especially if you have a family. It’s impossible to keep your focus if your wife needs help cleaning, or your kids want to play with you.

You must have an office, not just a laptop in your living room.

Can you find the time?

Despite the sensationalist claims that you can make millions with 20 minutes of work per day, the truth is that it requires hard work. You’re learning a new industry, and it’s quite different than how things work in the real world.

If you can come home and work for 2-3 hours every evening, and then another 10 on the weekends, you can probably make it eventually. If you work full-time, go to school, have 6 kids you have to help with, and you volunteer at a charity twice a week, odds are you won’t be able to make a go of it.

Do you already have a skill? Or willing to invest a year or two learning one?

Many people want to jump on the bandwagon of making money online that they don’t stop to think about what they have the ability to do. With so many people on the web, you have to be able to do something better than other people – and not rely on some new “secret” that supposedly prints money for you.

Does your business cost too much?

It’s one thing if you want to start a blog – you can do that almost for free. However, most strategies people learn about require paying for some expensive course or software. You might think it’s a “sure thing” that whatever you’re paying for will guarantee you an income. That’s the furthest thing from the truth, so make sure you’re not investing more than you can afford.

Can you handle failure?

Yes, that sounds super negative. But, it’s unfortunately true. Most people who are successful took years to master what they do on the internet. When most people claim that they were able to make something work in a short amount of time, they usually don’t tell you that they spent years of failure first.
The people who succeed online are the ones who can try something, fail, learn from it, and try something new.
How’d you answer those questions? Do you have what it takes?
